With the astonishing ability to regrow from its stump, the eternal and sacred olive tree is the undeniable symbol of Provence. The Ungaro Family has made this treasure their new passion, in their native Provence.
From the fashion catwalks to the countryside of Provence, the Ungaro brothers are working together in order to create award-winning and haute couture olive oils. Their Domaine, La Cavalerie, is located in Luberon, in the South of France, a beautiful region favourable to olive tree cultivation. Hidden in the countryside in the heart of Provence, the small Domaine represents the true sense of tradition and terroir. Owned for many years by the Ungaro Family, it is now home to great award-winning olive oils.
THE ESSENCE OF PROVENCE
Utilising their wealth of knowledge and love of the terroir, the Ungaro family works with high-quality olives in full respect of the environment. A manual harvest in November offers beautiful and healthy olives, saturated with sun and Mistral from the Provence region. The result of this harvest will be a pure natural fruit juice, free of chemical treatments, granting them the recognised appellation of ‘AOC PROVENCE’.
Their deep passion for olive oil cultivation drives them to tend towards organic olive cultivation, as a mark of respect to this product they cherish and consider as the best olive oil in the world: the ‘Huile d’Olive de Provence’.

A FRIENDSHIP
Sharing the philosophy of Pont des Arts, with a deep respect for tradition and beauty, they also shared a friendship with the artist Zao Wou-Ki, who was inspired by the poetic charm of La Cavalerie and created dazzling pieces of art there, bringing a mythical aspect to this little piece of Provence. These two divine watercolours have been chosen to represent the best personality of each of the olive oils.

During a visit of the Ungaro family’s Domaine de la Cavalerie in the Luberon, Zao Wou-Ki, then at the venerable age of 89, set out to capture the irrepressible vigour of the Provençal nature in situ. Mirroring the resplendence of nature is this fragrant and invigorating olive oil, meticulously crafted as a symbol of summery joie de vivre.
