Grand Vin De Bordeaux
CÔTE DE NUITS-VILLAGES 2012
THE EXPERIENCE
Known for his profuse imagination and intrepid sense of humour, Yue boldly reinterpreted Édouard Manet’s le Déjeuner sur l’Herbe (1863). At the artistic level, if Manet’s masterpiece was an affront to viewers’ sense of decency, Yue’s creation would be a tongue-in- cheek challenge to reality, established by the former’s masterpiece. At the hedonist level, convoluted subjects such as culture and Burgundy are reassessed in a light-hearted manner, beginning with this joyful and very approachable red Burgundy which, as in the painting, would best be enjoyed with the company of friends.
