Miquel Barceló Collection

THE COLLECTION

Pont des Arts’ fourth collection displays works from the Spanish artist behind the decorated ceiling of the UN building, Miquel Barceló.

Launched in 2016, the lacquered wood casing beautifully displays the stylistically unique works of this experimental artist, himself influenced by many styles and cultures from around the world.

THE VINTAGE

Suboptimal conditions for producing Bordeaux reds in 2013 meant that we focused on the Bordeaux whites, which were much more impressive from the region and in many instances have delicious aromatics and mouth-watering fresh fruits. The Burgundy 2013 vintage delivered graceful and fresh wines with light tannins and light acidity. They share a certain finesse with the 2008 vintage, but the 2013 wines do seem to have a bit more intensity and charm.

A SHOWCASE

Pont des Arts also had the opportunity to produce two highly limited, top quality reds from Burgundy, the Chambolle-Musigny and the Vosne-Romanée ‘Aux Réas’, and with Chêne Bleu Pont des Arts also produced its first Rosé.

The variation of Barceló’s body of work perfectly represents the range of the wines in this collection, from the zesty Sauvignon Blanc from Bordeaux, to the rich Gevrey-Chambertin from Burgundy.
