Grand Vin De Bordeaux

SAUVIGNON BLANC 2010

THE EXPERIENCE

Synonymous with fascination and enchantment, the Provençal town of Saint-Tropez is one buzzing with exuberance and vivacity. Analogous to this carefree Mediterranean lifestyle is this particularly lively Bordelais Sauvignon Blanc, oozing exotic fruits, tropical flowers and grassy freshness. Unrestrained and highly expressive by nature, Sauvignon Blanc is the trickster of a grape variety. Matching its estival effervescence is this buoyant work by Zao Wou-Ki, transcribing nature – whilst in the midst of it – with watercolour on paper.

THE WINE

This superb white wine is the result of a careful selection of the best “terroirs” of Sauvignon Blanc from Bordeaux. It is a fresh and elegant wine which reveals exotic aromas of lime, peach and grapefruit. As you taste the wine, you will discover a perfect balance and a wonderful richness to the palate. This vintage delivers a burst of freshness and a fine lingering finish.

Serving temperature: 12 to 13°C

THE ART

Collection 2010: Saint-Tropez – 2007
Watercolour on paper – 66 x 101,5 cm – Private collection

Recent watercolours are evidence of the modification of Zao Wou-Ki’s working manner: here the artist has established a direct link with nature that has become his main source of inspiration, thus creating a very liberated composition, wandering from all the rules to keep the sole pleasure of painting and making the colours resound with another.
