THE COLLECTION
This Collection from Zao Wou-ki brings together the first series of his work for our wines from the eminent 2010 vintage year.
The collection presents a personal exhibition of the world-renowned, Chinese-French artist’s work. As you taste the wines, you are taken on a journey through the evolution of Zao Wou-ki’s artistry through the years.
The wines of the collection also take you a on journey through the famous wine-making regions of Bordeaux and Burgundy in France, an unprecedented experience from this ancient and traditional area of France.
THE VINTAGE
Each bottle from the collection adorns carefully selected pieces of art, to match the flavor profile of each wine. The two founders went to Zao Wou-Ki’s atelier in Paris several times, carefully thinking about the association between each painting and each wine and to ensure the emotions that are evoked when drinking great wine or looking at great art are intrinsically linked.
A SHOWCASE
After a meticulous selection of the best terroirs and the best grapes, the 2010 collection came to life with three Bordeaux and three Burgundy wines from some of the best parcels in France. With the characteristics of a truly great vintage, 2010 has offered an optimally ripe crop but with an amazing acidity and tannins in Bordeaux and great intensity of flavour in Burgundy. Both regions have been blessed by this remarkable vintage offering a selection marked by limpidity and purity of flavour.
